- 2008 “Tenerife adies Open 2008" Costa Adeje Tenerife
La Caleta, 17th -20th June 2008. The Tenerife Ladies Open, held in Tenerife every year, is part of the European Ladies Professional Golf Circuit. This tournament attracts some of the best players in Europe, amongst which it is expected to host 120 professional players from countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, England, New Zealand, Australia and India. Each year, this highly competitive event is held on a different course, adding to its attraction and introducing the excellent golfing facilities that are available on the island.This year’s Golf Tournament will be held at the Golf Costa Adeje, located at only 5 minutes from the Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa. This 27-hole golf course offers wide greens and obstacles such as gorges and lakes, as well as beautiful views of the ocean, the island of La Gomera and the rugged Adeje mountains

“Los Caprichos Musicales de la isla Baja”: Augusto Brito, J. Antonio Sanabria and Ricardo Francia

Augusto Brito is a baritone who has performed with orchestras such as the Classical Laguna Orchestra, the Tenerife Symphony, the Malaga City Orchestra, Asunción City Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Philharmonic, among others. Juan Antonio Sanabria is a tenor who hails from Las Palmas and pianist Ricardo Francia has performed in recitals and song competitions in Copenhagen, Nice, Madrid, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Seville and all of the Canary Islands.

Tenerife-born soprano Raquel Lojendio studied in Tenerife’s Superior Music Conservatory. Manchester-born Sophia Unsworth plays with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and has performed Beethoven’s triple concerto with the orchestra as a soloist, conducted by Antoni Ros Marrbá.
