The elegant Balearis Major, as the Romans called it, possesses everything that you could possibly imagine. The first tourists started to arrive on the island at the beginning of the 20s and, at least until the start of the Civil War, they began to develop a select tourism, specially-designed for intellectuals and artists.

Its ideal climate, its cloudless skies, its scenic beauty, its proud history and its cosmopolitan atmosphere make it a privileged spot, where the cultural scene is equivalent to that of a city ten times its size; to give an example, the Palma Auditorium is among the best concert halls in Europe. In Mallorca we can find relaxation, a source of inspiration, culture and leisure, “everything in such a small territory”.

- Unmissable trip: Visit the Alfábia gardens. The d`Alfábia estate is property of the Zaforteza family, who have opened its doors to the public so that the different rooms of this 17th century stately home can be visited. Queen Elizabeth II once slept overnight in one of these rooms during a short stay on the island. During the summer it is pleasant to take a long stroll in the refreshing shade of the plants and trees of the botanical gardens.  More Factoids
