SHOPPING: Street Markets El Rastro street market is one of the city’s iconic symbols. Every Sunday and public holiday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. the streets surrounding calle Ribera de Curtidores, as far as the Ronda de Toledo, welcome crowds of curious people intrigued by the different market stalls selling music, books and second hand clothes, antiques, coins, furniture or handicrafts.
The capital also has other specialist street markets, such as the one for stamp collecting in the Plaza Mayor or for handicrafts in the Plaza de las Comendadoras. |
