El Corte Inglés
Established in 1940, this commercial empire has expanded until managing to become Spain’s “Royal” department-store chain. Shoppers can find practically any and all objects within its walls: from leading cosmetic brands in the beauty department to everything concerned with technology. Their four stores in Barcelona mark their supremacy in the region.

L'Illa
This enormous block constitutes around 100 reputable shops like FNAC and Decathlon, several restaurants, and a Caprabo supermarket. The area surrounding L'Illa currently contains a 10,000 m2 green belt, and its construction took shape around the Olympic games of 1992. A 300 room hotel was recently opened.

La Maquinista
Being the largest commercial centre in Barcelona, it is split into three levels that accommodate 225 different shops, where visitors can find mass fashion as in the case of Benetton and H&M, alongside exclusive designer boutiques like Adolph Dominguez. Maremagnum
This floating shop is situated at the end of a mobile wooden bridge. In 1995, its peculiar infrastructure filled with bars, discotheques, restaurants and even a mini-golf circuit. Nonetheless, visitors are more frequent at night and on Sundays, when the families arrive strolling from the Barcelona aquarium (L'Aquarium)
